Connected Accounts Addendum

An addendum to our Privacy Policy. Last updated: October 19, 2026

This applies only if you connect a social media account. Our analytics product (Competitor Map, Rival Scout, and the standalone scanners) works entirely from public profiles and never asks you to connect an account. If that is all you use, nothing on this page applies to you.

1. What We Collect When You Connect an Account

  • Social media account credentials, used to establish the connection
  • A session cookie for the connected account
  • The connected account's username
  • A record of actions performed on your behalf

2. Credential Handling and Retention

Credentials are deleted from our servers after a successful login. We retain the resulting session cookie and the account username, which is what keeps the connection authenticated. We do not retain your password after the connection is established.

You can disconnect an account at any time from your dashboard, which removes the stored session cookie.

3. What We Do With the Connection

A connected account is used to perform the automation actions you configure, and nothing else. We access the minimum data necessary to provide the features you have turned on.

4. Platform Terms and Your Responsibility

Connecting a third-party account and automating activity on it may be restricted or prohibited by that platform's own terms of service. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with them, and you accept the risk of any restriction or suspension the platform applies to your account. See the Connected Accounts Terms.
